Visas

Turkey requires a visa from most countries, however this is only a procedure and citizens of most countries can buy visa stamps on arrival at Istanbul Ataturk Airport. Visa stamps can also be purchased in advance from the Conference Organisers which may prevent a queue at the airport.

Delegates from the following countries need to obtain a visa from the consulates in their OWN countries BEFORE they arrive in Turkey:

* Pakistan: Official passport holders are exempted from a Visa for their travels to Turkey up to 90 days. Ordinary passport holders are required to have a visa to enter Turkey. Ordinary passport holders with a valid Schengen, UK or US visas may get their one month single entry visas at the Turkish border gates upon their arrival.

* India: Diplomatic passport holders are exempt from a Visa for their travels to Turkey up to 90 days. Ordinary, Special and Service passport holders are required to have a Visa to enter Turkey. Ordinary, Special and Service passport holders with a valid Schengen, UK or US visas may get their one month single entry visas at the Turkish border gates upon their arrival.

Explanations/Further Information:

  • The term "official passports" covers diplomatic, service, special and official passports.
  • Passports should be valid at least 90 days longer than the expiry date of the requested visa.
